What happens at a consultation?
The first consultation can take between 1 to 1 ½ hrs depending on the length of your medical history. As everyone is different please do call me to discuss what length of consultation is appropriate for you. Prior to the consultation you will be asked to write a weeks food diary and to also bring along any medication, supplements and copies of any recent test results. After taking a full medical history, you can then talk about your own particular health concerns and goals. I will then recommend relevant diet changes to establish how what you eat may be effecting your physical or mental health. If appropriate I may also advise private testing or write to your GP for further help. I use specialist laboratories for private tests and these include; Biolab, The Doctors Laboratory and Genova Diagnostics see here for more details, www.biolab.co.uk ,www.tdlpathology.com www.gdx.uk.net.
